Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 1.00 Ayr – Reagrove Lord

It was a year of very nearly for Reagrove Lord in 2024, who finished third in four of his eight races and most recently recorded that result again in a field of 16 at Hexham in December – notably beating today’s favourite Teddy Mac. That was his first race with a visor added and he goes off at the same weight again today, so figures to compete over this slightly shorter distance against an untrustworthy field.

Tip 2 - 2:00 Ayr - Destiny Is All

Just the four runners for this, which could make it a tactical affair. That may suit Destiny Is All, who’s likely to have things his own way out in front. Lucinda Russell’s 11yo is rated just a pound higher than for his course and distance win in October, which also came under today’s conditional jockey, Jack Power. That’s the only recent winning form in this field, and he should be able to add to his tally today.

Tip 3 - 5.00 Wolverhampton - Beauzon

If Lequinto runs anything like the form of old, then he should win comfortably, but since he hasn’t finished first past the post since June 2023, we think there is value backing another. Beauzon knows this track like the back of his hoof having had seven course-and-distance triumphs, and he is still really well treated on past form here. Has won three times at Wolverhampton off a higher mark than today’s 64 so should be there or thereabouts.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
