Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 1:20 Exeter - Widdybank

Red N Yellow sets a fair standard in this race, having finished second on hurdling debut last month. The bumper from Widdybank here at Exeter in October is enough for him to be the selection, though. Despite being beaten by 18 lengths, it looks to be very strong form. The fifth and eighth from that race have won since, while the third and fourth followed up with a placed effort. He’s the value call on his first run over timber.

Tip 2 - 1:45 Southwell - Buxted Too e/w

The protagonists at the top of the market look very interesting, and The Bay Warrior’s course-and-distance form makes him a player, but we think there could be some great value had lower down the betting market. Buxted Too has been in fairly rotten form since winning at Windsor in June, but he is on a really dangerous mark on the all-weather. Hasn’t been this low since January last year, when he won five out of six races to get up to a mark of 83. It seems worth a flutter now back down to 69.

Tip 3 - 1:55 Exeter - Hititi

Over a trip too far and without his usual headgear, Hititi didn’t get home last time out. Down in trip, down in grade and with the tongue-tie back on, Hititi looks primed to get back to winning ways. His chase mark is 8lb higher than his hurdles one, so anything close to a clear round of jumping should have him in the mix.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
