Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently, that’s why we only use the best analysts and tipsters in the UK and Ireland to give their advice on this page. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose.

Tip 1 - 12:22 Southwell - Ever Hopefull

Unexposed four-year-old Ever Hopefull has shown some real improvement since changing yard to Archie Watson in December, with a maiden win at Wolverhampton followed by a decent third at Newcastle on new year’s day. The latter form has been franked by the winner going in again. From a dam who placed in Group races over 1m4f so should appreciate the step up to 1m3f here and could go close.

Tip 2 - 12:52 Southwell – Blue Lakota

Blue Lakota starts 2025 in excellent form after putting up figures of 22113 across November and December last year, with three of those coming over today’s distance. His handicap increased substantially as a result but he goes off at the same mark today as his 3rd place at Newcastle last time out, but key rival Horus has to contend with a 6lb penalty and could be the difference in a tight race.

Tip 3 - 2:52 Southwell - Busby

It is not often you would back an exposed 10 year old against improving younger horses on the all-weather, but Busby’s recent runs set the standard for the field. Coming off the back of a small break and with headgear being applied, his last two runs have him looking like the horse of old. Another repeat performance could be enough for him to take this.

Tip 4 - 3:00 Dundalk - Brains

After placing twice here at Dundalk early last year off marks of 75 and 77, Brains landed a Leopardstown handicap in May. Since then, he’s been largely out of form. It could be that time has caught up with the 9yo, but now rated 70 in a race with few confirmed front-runners, there’s a chance he could have the run of things. He’s a risky pick, and very well could finish nearer last than first, but at the prices, it’s worth the punt.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

Where Can I Watch the Daily Horse Racing Selections Run?

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch.
