Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 2:40 Down Royal - Grand City Hall

This race looks sure to revolve around the top three or four in the betting, as they’re the ones who come into this having shown some sort of recent form. Yefimenko is a particularly interesting runner given how unexposed he is, but preference is for Grand City Hall. The last time out winner is a hold-up horse, and with his three main market rivals all being front-runners, we could see a blistering early speed that will collapse late on.

Tip 2 - 3:00 Hamilton - Tilsitt

After a good run last time out, it was somewhat of a surprise to see Tilsitt dropped 1lb by the handicapper. However, back again eight days later for another crack at it, he is in prime position to take advantage. Sent off 7/2 favourite last time out, there is obviously belief there is win in him, and considering he has won off a mark of 79 in the past, there is some room to operate.

Tip 3 - 3:35 Hamilton - Faylaq

We’ll start off by saying this trip is shorter than ideal, but this eight-year-old is in too good a form to ignore. Has won two of his last three races, with one of those in 0-105 company as opposed to today’s 0-90. Was a very good second to 106-rated La Yakel at Hamilton in August too. The forecast rain making this more of a stamina test will do no harm for Faylaq, who has the best form of the field here.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
