Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 2:25 Newmarket - Babouche

This race features two of the key players in next year’s 1000 Guineas betting, in the form of Lake Victoria and Babouche. Both are unbeaten and have a ton of potential, but preference is for the latter. Ger Lyons’ filly has gone from strength to strength in her three runs to date. An impressive winner on debut, she followed up with a Group 3 win before landing the Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh. That day, she beat Whistlejacket, who’s odds on to win a Group 1 later in the day at Newmarket. Her form stacks up, and she is very much the one to beat.

Tip 2 - 2:40 Haydock - Nariko

This race is packed with course-and-distance winners, but none of them are nearly as unexposed as Nariko. The three-year-old filly powered home here on her last run in May to win in authoritative style. In receipt of the weight for age allowance, she looks incredibly well treated and, if ready to go after four months off, could take this en route to much bigger and better things.

Tip 3 - 3:40 Newmarket - Norwalk Havoc

Conditions at Newmarket look like they will be tricky under foot, so we want a horse we know who doesn’t mind at least a bit of cut in the ground. Theoryofeverything looks an interesting contender and nicely handicapped, but it is Norwalk Havoc, the highest-rated horse in the field but getting a handy three-year-olds allowance, who we plump for. Winner on heavy and soft ground and looks like he has been saved for this race having not been seen since July. Has previously won handily after a long break, so he looks like he’s ready to run a big race.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
