Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 1:30 Bath - Asense

A low-grade, wide-open apprentice handicap opens the card at Bath. There are any number in with a chance, but preference is for Asense. He won this race last season off a four-pound higher mark, on similarly soft ground. The ground poses a question for a good chunk of this field, and despite Asense’s lack of recent form, his mark and suitability to today’s conditions make him impossible to ignore.

Tip 2 - 2:30 Cork - Tai Tam Bay

Conditions look to have fallen nicely for Tai Tam Bay here. Back over six furlongs after fading late over further last time out. She should be able to cruise through this race after being taken off her feet in a hotter race at her previous attempt over the distance. A bit of cut in the ground is exactly what Tai Tam Bay needs, with apprentice Alexandra Egan taking off a very handy 10lb with her claim.

Tip 3 - 2:50 Ayr - Spirit Of Acklam

The last run of Spirit Of Acklam appeared to be too bad to be true when tailing off by 22 lengths on handicap debut at Newbury in May. Prior to that had two impressive novice wins that led us to believe the three-year-old could be going places. Hasn’t been seen since May so surely had an issue that day at Newbury. Has previously won convincingly after a long lay off, and provided he is healthy, he should go well.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
