Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 2:55 Goodwood - Hafeet Alain

With those at the head of the market struggling for form, Hafeet Alain can take this even though he doesn’t have much room off his current mark. However, unlike most of the field, he is running well at the moment, winning a much deeper race than this at Newmarket off only 2lb fewer. With plenty of good runs on soft in the past, he will have no trouble with today’s forecast ground.

Tip 2 - 3:30 Goodwood - Capote's Dream

There are a few in this race to like, even if recent form figures for the majority point to a lack of victories. Conditions are likely to be tough going today, so we want someone we know will relish the conditions. Market leader Tiriac appears to be one, but we like Capote’s Dream, who looks very well treated off a mark of 71. Best form typically has come on soft or heavy ground and is now six pounds from last winning mark. He has also won off 88 before, and at just seven years old, he should have plenty in the tank.

Tip 3 - 4:20 Listowel - Perceval Legallois

Judging by the fact that he was sent off 7/2 favourite for the Galway Plate, connections clearly think there’s a big prize to be won with Perceval Legallois off his current mark. Fakir d’Oudairies is top weight here for the same owner, ensuring that the selection has a nice racing weight. Things didn’t go to plan at Galway, but there’s been early support for Perceval Legallois, and connections don’t often get it wrong when the money is down.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
