Week 9 of the NFL betting offers up a classic Old School NFL rivalry with a new twist. The Detroit Lions visit Green Bay Sunday. And while this game traditionally evokes images of the old "Black and Blue" division and talk of the "Frozen Tundra" - we may see an offensive showcase fitting of the old AFL.

The FOX National Game of the Week kicks off at Lambeau Field at 4:25 p.m. Eastern STANDARD Time. That's right, don't forget to turn your clocks back 1 hour at 2 a.m. Sunday.

The Lions have covered in 8 of their past 9 games and are 43-18 ATS since the start of the 2022 season. NFL odds have the Lions as 2.5-point favorites on the road. The total is 48 points.

We'll take a look at some player props from that game and a few others.

Best NFL Week 9 Player Props

Detroit WR Amon-Ra St. Brown: Anytime TD

Odds: +115 FanDuel

Best Bet: Amon-Ra St. Brown has scored a touchdown in each of the Lions' last 5 games. The Lions had a scrimmage of sorts last week against Tennessee. The Packers' defense presents more of a challenge. St. Brown manages to get himself open whenever Jared Goff needs him most. The Lions are 1st in scoring, 6th in rushing, and 10th in passing. That screams balance. And more opportunities for St. Brown and his teammates.

Detroit RB Jahmyr Gibbs: Over 63.5 Yards Rushing

Odds: +115 FanDuel

Best Bet: Jahmyr Gibbs has gone over his rushing total in 14 of his last 19 games. Up against this number, he's gone over it in 4 out of his past 5 games, and in the 5th, he ran for 63 yards. He's averaging 84.4 yards per game and has hit the rushing yards over in six of seven games. The Packers yield 111.6 yards per game on the ground. And this week they'll be leaning toward protecting against the pass both short and deep. Gibbs will have open lanes.  up 8.3 yards per pass attempt and nearly 9 yards per target.

Best NFL Prop Bets To Back Today For Week 9: Lions, Packers Go New School 2

Lions QB Jared Goff: Over 222.5 Yards Passing

Odds: -114 FanDuel

Lions QB Jared Goff: Under 229.5 Yards Passing

Odds: -110 bet365

Best Bet: The Lions have been stacking points, leading the NFL with 33.4 points per game. Jared Goff has been able to balance the Lions attack. Goff averages 242.1 passing yards. The Lions are judicious with his arm as he's putting up just 27 throws and he's connecting on 20 attempts. His completion rate (74.1%) ranks 7th in the NFL. There's a spread of 7 yards between FanDuel (over 222.5) and bet365 (under 229.5). That's the play.

Denver QB Bo Nix: Over 216.5 Yards Passing

Odds: +110 DraftKings

Best Bet: The Denver Broncos are among the surprises in the NFL. The biggest surprise here may be that the passing total for Nix (216.5) is set above the projected number for Lamar Jackson (212.5). The Broncos could well come out throwing the ball here. And why not. The Ravens' secondary has been hobbled by injury and ranks last in the NFL, giving up 291.4 yards per outing. Denver is a 9-point underdog. So a potential blowout could lead to a similar scenario.

Baker Mayfield: Under 234.5 Yards Passing

Odds: -110 bet365

Best Bet: The Chiefs come to Raymond James Monday night. The Chiefs haven't lost since Christmas. They keep winning with Patrick Mahomes and defense. The Buccaneers have hit a wall. Mike Evans is dealing with a hamstring issue. Chris Godwin is out - possibly for the season - due to a dislocated ankle. Baker Mayfield is doing the best he can with TE Cade Otton, RB Rachaad White, and WR Jalen McMillan. Mayfield threw for 330 yards and 3 TDs against the Falcons in Tampa Bay's loss last week. But the Falcons weren't playing nearly as tight as KC will.
