Week 8 of the NFL betting season was scheduled to feature the first NFL matchup of the previous 2 Heisman Trophy winners – not to mention the No. 1 and No. 2 picks in the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Chicago Bears visit Washington's No. 1 pick, Caleb Williams has guided the Bears to a 4-2 start. Jayden Daniels, taken second overall out of LSU after winning the 2023 Heisman, has thrived for Washington.

However, Daniels suffered a rib injury in Washington’s Week 7 win over the Rams. He did not practice until Friday of this week. His status remains questionable. NFL odds have the Bears as 3-point favorites after they opened up at -1.5. The real movement has been on the total, it has slid from 47 to 43 points as concerns over Daniels’ status grew.

We'll take a look at some player props from that game and a few others.

Best NFL Week 8 Player Props

Chicago QB Caleb Williams: Under 229.5 Yards Passing

Odds: -110 bet365

Best Bet: While Washington QB and rookie Jayden Daniels may be limited (or out), Bears rookie QB Caleb Williams has been ripping it of late. Williams was the 1 overall pick in 2024 and won the 2022 Heisman Trophy for Southern Cal. He has not disappointed this season. Williams threw 6 TD passes for 530 passing yards (while running for 90 yards) in his past 2 games. But he’s averaged just 219.5 yards per game this season, and Washington has given up just 197.6.

Washington RB Brian Robinson: Anytime TD

Odds: +125 DraftKings

Best Bet: With the status of Washington QB Jayden Daniels listed as “questionable” – and his ribs being less than 100% - the Commanders will be looking to run the ball. Especially in the Red Zone. Brian Robinson has scored at least 1 TD in each of his past 4 games. He’s had at least 12 carries in all but one game this season. He’s a reliable ball-carrier – especially when it matters close to the goal line.

Bears WR Keenan Allen: Over 45.5 Yards Receiving

Odds: -115 DraftKings

Best Bet: Keenan Allen has not gone over this number all season. But he’s amassed 49 or more yards in his past 12 road games. That’s a trend worth watching. This game is unlikely to the high-scoring affair most would have projected with a healthy Jayden Daniels pitching for the Commanders. This number opened at 40.5 before it was bet up to its current spot. Allen should see at least 6 or 7 targets this week. And Washington’s secondary has been scalded, giving up 8.3 yards per pass attempt and nearly 9 yards per target.

Best NFL Prop Bets To Back Today For Week 8: Top Rookie QB Showdown? 2

Jets QB Aaron Rodgers, Over 232.5 Yards Passing

Odds: -110 bet365

Best Bet: The Jets dominated New England 24-3 a month ago. Jets QB Aaron Rodgers has had a full week to work with WR Davante Adams. His much-desired binky. The Patriots are in full-blown disarray, if not revolt. They gave up 32 unanswered points to the Jaguars in London last week. The Jets are still the Jets. But Rodgers will have ample opportunity and time to throw against the Patriots defense. New England is giving up 7.2 yards per attempt and giving up 233.4 yards per game through the air.

Tyreek Hill, Anytime TD

Odds: +110 DraftKings

Best Bet: Tua Tagovailoa makes his return to the Dolphins this week after missing several weeks due to concussion protocol. The Dolphins won’t need to get too complicated against a Cardinals team that is playing outdoors, in a warm and humid environment, on a sun splashed field. What’s easier than looking for Tyreek Hill to score? Hill has scored in 7 of the past 8 Sunday games at Hard Rock Stadium. Hill is dealing with a foot injury and hasn’t scored since Week 1. But Mike McDaniel is optimistic he’ll play Sunday.
