Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Do be aware that betting on horse racing is difficult to win consistently, that’s why we only use the best analysts and tipsters in the UK and Ireland to give their advice on this page. Previous performance is no guarantee of future success and you should only bet with what you can afford to lose.

Tip 1 - 1:55 Newcastle – Hard As Nails

Hard As Nails won convincingly on her handicap debut in October and was a respectable fourth at a higher grade last month, giving her the experience required to win today back down at Class 4. A step up to 2m4f was too much for the seven-year-old and this slightly shorter outing should allow her to shine after taking almost two months off.

Tip 2 - 2:15 Chepstow - Below The Radar

All looked to be rosy for a smart prospect in Below The Radar at the start of last year, with decent wins over some horses now rated higher than the seven-year-old. His last two performances haven’t gone to plan, even if last time out looked a very hot race, with the winner going in off a mark of 150 since. Ground should hold no issues having won on heavy before, and he should be competitive off a mark of 120 in this company.

Tip 3 - 2:45 - Chepstow - Royal Jewel

Royal Jewel looks better over fences with every passing attempt, so today could be the day he gets his head in front for the first time over the bigger jumps. He ran well over a distance he didn't want last time out, but was subsequently dropped 2lb for that effort. Back down in trip and on the heavy ground he has run well on previously, he looks a danger off a mark of just 114.

Tip 4 - 4:15 Limerick - Found A Diamond

Road Exile is sure to be a warm favourite for this, following a narrow defeat here at Limerick last month. However, there’s a suspicion that he may be better suited by quicker underfoot conditions. Preference is for Ross O’Sullivan’s Found A Diamond, who makes the switch from hurdling to bumpers. His two runs to date have been full of promise, despite the margins of defeat. With that racecourse experience under his belt, he should run a big race at a decent price for a yard that had two winners yesterday.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch.
