Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 1:50 Plumpton - Baltray

Very lightly raced six-year-old Baltray is taking part in just his sixth rules race today, and there appears to be plenty of improvement to come. Didn’t enjoy the bigger obstacles last time out so is back hurdling, where he has a record of 212. He finished just over two lengths back from Hecouldbetheone, who is rated 120 now, earlier this year. Baltray’s chase debut flop has cleared two pounds and is now rated a very workable 110.

Tip 2 - 2:20 Plumpton - Gold Clermont

A recent spin over hurdles should have Gold Clermont ready for this. Having won twice over track and trip last season, including coming home unchallenged on one occasion, Plumpton brings out the best in him. Still only eight years old and with 12 attempts over fences to his name, there still could be some improvement to come from him.

Tip 3 - 4:30 Wolverhampton - Nevernay

This certainly isn’t the best race we’ll see this winter, with little in terms of recent winning form to go by in the field. Nevernay is one of the least exposed in the race, and should be able to go close if reproducing his latest effort. Ridden by a 7lb claimer last time out, he didn’t get the clearest of runs, but ran respectable to finish a close fourth. A clearer run and George Wood in the saddle could make him hard to beat.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).

The best place is always on the racecourse but that’s not very practical so when it’s not on terrestrial TV with the likes of Sky Sports Racing and ITV (or ITV 4) then the best way to get instant access to live pictures is with a live streaming bookmaker – try these three below for the best of the bunch.
