Man City Not to win a Major Trophy 4/5 bet365

Manchester City are favourites to win the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup this season with football betting sites. It's a position they have become accustomed to occupying since Pep Guardiola took this City side to a level not many teams have ever reached. While the odds on Guardiola's team picking up multiple trophies do look prohibitive, it is worth remembering they achieved a continental treble in the 2022/23 season and a domestic treble in the 2018/19 season.

Betting sites think more silverware is coming their way even with the possibility of a points deduction hanging over them. City are currently 6/4 favourites with Ladbrokes to win the Premier League ahead of Arsenal, who's best chance to win the league might well have been last season, and Liverpool, who will be attempting to cope with losing Jurgen Klopp.

As has been the case for most of the previous four seasons, the bookies have the Cityzens as Premier League favourites, with a record breaking fifth title in a row looking likely. Football betting sites also have City at the head of the FA Cup and League Cup outright markets, as well as placing them just ahead of Real Madrid in the Champions League outright betting.

Betting apps have plenty of odds on Manchester City winning multiple trophies, with customers currently able to land odds of 6/1 that this impressive team land a domestic double of the FA Cup and Premier League.

Will Man City Secure a Domestic Double This Season?

New betting sites don't have Manchester City as odds-on favourites to be champions again this season, with prices ranging from 11/8 to 6/4. This is probably due to the uncertainty around whether they will receive a points deduction at some point during the season. This highly unusual set of circumstances sees them installed as favourites for the league title and as short as 8/1 to be relegated. For context, their main title challengers, Liverpool and Arsenal, can be backed at 2000/1 to be relegated in the 2024/25 season.

Being champions of England has become a regular occurrence for City, and they are still very much the best team in the league. It might pay to take those odds on them winning the league now before the threat of a points deduction disappears.

Can Liverpool or Arsenal End City's Premier League Dominance?

Only Liverpool have stopped Manchester City landing the Premier League title in the past seven seasons, with the Reds ending their 30-year drought in the 2019/20 season when storming to a runaway success. Liverpool couldn't keep pace with City in the latter half of last season, in the end finishing a remote third. It would take a monumental effort for them to win the league this season following the departure of talismanic manager Jurgen Klopp.

Then there is Arsenal, who will feel they have a great chance of usurping City. The best betting sites make them second favourites to claim the title after missing out last season, but perhaps they have missed their best chance of winning the league.

Everything seemed to go Arsenal's way last year, but they still couldn't break the 90-point barrier, a mark six of the last eight champions have passed. Unless City regress, they are going to need to take another step forward next season to get their hands on the trophy.

Could Man City Fail to Land Any Silverware?

It's a wild notion, but there's a chance that Manchester City might not pick up any trophies this season. There are no guarantees in football, especially in knockout competitions as City found to their cost in the League Cup against Spurs in October. They also have Arsenal and Liverpool breathing down their necks in the league, and as tight as we have seen title races in the last few seasons, City can't afford any slip ups if they want to make it five in a row.
