Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 1:15 Ludlow - Jo Lescribaa

Plenty of unknown quantities in this novices’ chase, none more so than Jo Lescribaa. The 5yo recruit from France wasn’t completely without hope on his five hurdles starts in the UK, and now switches to the larger obstacles. The big step up in trip to three miles is also an unknown, but with his yard on fire at the moment, having sent out five winners from the last eight runners, he’ll take all the beating.

Tip 2 - 3:10 Kempton - Doctor Ken

Questions need to be answered on fitness for this very lightly raced eight-year-old, Doctor Ken. Has just 11 races in his lifetime and none in the past 18 months, but the Olly Murphy yard is flying with Sean Bowen at the helm, finishing in the top three in 21 of his last 31 runners. Doctor Ken has won fresh before and should have no trouble with the trip. We will take fitness on trust and hope he’ll be there or thereabouts at the end.

Tip 3 - 3:25 Ludlow - Melton Mossy

Evan William’s five-year-old is certainly a progressive sort, but the question will be how he takes to the extra three furlongs in today’s race to three miles. Has a record of four wins from seven handicap starts, including winning last time out at this course 18 days ago. If still in the same form, he looks to have enough ability to far outrun a mark of 102.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
