Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 12:40 Lingfield - Kondratiev Wave

Hitched looked a handy sort when storming to victory here six days ago but will have to contend with a five-pound rise for a career-high mark. We go for a horse who is far removed from his best form. At his best, Kondratiev Wave was winning over course and distance off a mark of 80, but that was three-and-a-half years ago. Has four wins this season and has run with credit pretty much every effort. Mark of 59 is surely still within range for this seven-year-old.

Tip 2 - 12:55 Fakenham - Bluegrass

Bluegrass has been disappointing in handicaps since comfortably landing a maiden hurdle over course and distance in March. In that win, he travelled powerfully throughout the race and looked like a horse that could be able to improve well beyond his mark. As a 5yo, there could still be time for him to improve, and the combination of wind surgery, first time headgear and the benefit of having a run under his belt this season could see him in his best light.

Tip 3 - 2:05 Carlisle - Flic Ou Voyou

Veterans’ chases are all about finding the horse able to hold his form, and the only one running to his mark in this field at the moment is Flic Ou Voyou. His new yard finally look to have got to the bottom of him as he hasn’t been outside the top two in his last two runs. He could well have received more than 2lb for his win last time out, so looks on a dangerous mark today.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
