Each selection is advised as a single bet, and at a straight £10 win single per horse, unless otherwise stated.

Tip 1 - 1:50 Market Rasen - Harbour Lake

This race is there for the taking now that Skyjack Hijack is a non runner. Harbour Lake looks like the one to pick up the pieces. After rock solid runs at Cheltenham and Haydock in the spring, he returned from six months off with an impressive win at Aintree a couple of weeks ago. He travelled sweetly through the race that day and stayed on well over a longer trip than today’s. He’ll be very hard to beat if in the same mood.

Tip 2 - 2:10 Wetherby - Mr Bramley

Back off a break over the summer while waiting for the softer ground he prefers, Mr Bramley can continue his progress over hurdles. He has previously run well in two previous visits to the track in bumpers, and his only defeat over hurdles came against a horse trained by Harry Derham, who had his yard flying at the time. Mr Bramley is well placed to pick up his first handicap win today.

Tip 3 - 2:25 Market Rasen - Marsh Wren

Impressed in Graded company when last seen finishing an excellent third at a big price in the Mares’ Chase at the Cheltenham Festival, Marsh Wren enters calculations here. Will be travelling a bit further today but has winning form on heavier ground over a couple of furlongs fewer. Has a great record going fresh, and the booking of the in-form Sean Bowen looks a real plus.

What Are the Average Advised Odds of Our Tips?

We tip a minimum of 3 horses per day across the UK and Irish racing and the average starting price of our selections is a remarkable 4/1 over hundred and hundreds of tips this year.

What is the Staking Plan and How Does a 1pt Win System Work?

We advise each bet as a win single or sometimes as an each way single. You can of course choose to combine the selections in a multiple bet, a Lucky 15 or a Yankee etc and that is a very popular way to follow the horses selected in this column daily.

A 1pt win per horse is advised in general and that means whatever your normal stake is for a bet is used as a point. For many this is £1 and for some this is £10 or more but it is totally relative to the individual and shouldn’t be more than you can afford to lose at any time. 

For each way selections we advise a 0.5pt each way stake. So as with the win selections this would be a £1 total bet (50 pence each way) or a £10 total bet (£5 each way).
