The best bookies have reopened their Next West Ham Manager betting market after it has been rumoured that David Moyes could leave the club when his contract ends after this season. The Hammers won the 2023 Europa Conference League last season, and they sit in eighth in the Premier League, but Moyes is under increasing pressure after a string of high-profile defeats such as 6-0 to Arsenal and 5-2 to Crystal Palace last weekend, when they were 4-0 after nearly half an hour.

The early favourite appears to be Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim, who has reportedly held talks with the West Ham hierarchy about moving to the London Stadium this summer. Amorim has been hugely impressive for Sporting, leading them to a league title (with a second surely coming this season) and two Taca de Liga trophies, to with the one Taca de Liga win he had in charge of Braga. He is likely to be in high demand and has been linked with the next Liverpool manager role too.

Rafael Benitez has been linked to the West Ham manager's position on several occasions and has previously come close to landing the role. The Spaniard remains on the market, while Graham Potter is among the favourites to return to Premier League management, according to the latest odds from betting apps.

Football betting sites also have Michael Carrick as a single-figure price, with the Middlesbrough manager having started his playing career at the London outfit.

Amorim Could Be a Major Coup for Hammers

Ruben Amorim has been atop many markets at new betting sites for the best managerial jobs in the world over the past 18 months, such is the terrific job he has done in his native Portugal. He has previously turned down such overtures, but with a second league title with Sporting incoming, now may be the time to move on to pastures new.

While he has been heavily linked with the Liverpool manager's job after Jurgen Klopp leaves, it appears that the Hammers have made the first move. It remains to be seen if he might wait it out for a bigger club.

Carrick Prominent in West Ham Betting Market

It's clear that new betting sites respect Michael Carrick in their Next West Ham Manager betting market, and the former Hammers midfielder has done an impressive job at Middlesbrough since taking over last season. Despite it being his first proper managerial position, the 42-year-old got Boro into promotion contention before losing to Coventry in the Championship play-offs last season, and they have fallen just short of the play-offs this time around after selling the likes of Chuba Akpom last summer.

It could be that West Ham are keeping a watching brief when it comes to Carrick. Now that he has been unable to achieve promotion with Middlesbrough twice, it might be that he's open to the prospect of taking charge at the London Stadium and the chance to cut his teeth in the top flight with this ambitious club.

Carrick has plenty of experience of working as part of various backroom teams at Manchester United, including with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Louis van Gaal. He is clearly respected within the game, and it wouldn't be a big surprise if West Ham made an approach for him.

Could Potter Return to Premier League with Hammers?

Graham Potter is trading at a short price on several manager markets with the football betting sites, and that includes the West Ham position. The Englishman had a rollercoaster ride of a 2022/23 season which saw his Brighton & Hove Albion side start the campaign strongly before he was effectively poached by Chelsea.

Despite a promising start where Potter guided the Blues into the knockout stage of the Champions League, the former Swansea City manager started to struggle at Stamford Bridge. However, we can't forget how well he was performing with the Seagulls, and perhaps West Ham would benefit from having a coach like him at the London Stadium.

Potter would want assurances that he could bring in the right sort of player and reinvest in a squad that has looked short of ideas at times this season. He has been biding his time since leaving Chelsea but is likely to be in demand whenever he is ready to return.

Would Benitez Be Interested In Hammers Job?

Rafael Benitez has long been regarded as one of the best football coaches in the world, and he has previously come close to managing West Ham. The 64-year-old discussed the vacant role in 2015 before deciding to take charge at Real Madrid, although this could be better timing for the highly-experienced Spaniard.

West Ham have had a mixed 2023/24 season, but fans may not be keen to move from one manager who doesn't play the most exciting football to another, particularly whose last two stops have been relative failures at Everton and then with Celta Vigo in La Liga this season.
